Yes, we know, we’re running a business and trying to make a little money along the way. But we didn’t get into this for the money. We’re here because we love it, and maybe because we’re a little crazy. We did the rat race thing for years, climbed the ladder, worked for the corporate bloodsuckers, and after a while decided that life wasn’t for us anymore. So, here we are.

Our goal has always been to leave this place better than we found it. And if you know anything about us, you know we love supporting other small businesses however we can. If you haven’t already, check out our Preferred Partners page for a few of our local favorites.

We have been fortunate over the past 20 years or so to always have a little extra to be able to share with our favorite local charities. Now that we are running a successful business, with hopefully more success to come down the line, we are extending that desire to share and are happy to make this commitment. Starting in 2025 and continuing as long as Elevated Gatherings continues, we pledge to donate at least 10% of our profits to our favorite animal rescue charities.

In 2003, we adopted our first dog from the Columbia-Greene Humane Society. Her name was Sloan and she was a handful! We loved her to pieces and she lived a happy 14 years with us. Currently, we have three rescue dogs, all alumni of the Animal Farm Foundation, sharing our space (snoring on the couch as Kira types this) and we couldn’t love them more. Dogs have made our lives fuller and happier and we can’t imagine life without them. We are in a position to help out, and help out we will.

Sloan, our original rescue dog!
